Your First Visit
At each of our dental offices the doctor and team look forward to meeting you and making your visit a pleasurable experience. We understand that finding a new dental care provider can be a bit stressful; that’s why we are here to help. After all, a healthy, confident smile is very important to your health and well-being. During Your Appointment
We will begin your exam with a series of digital images or X-rays so that we can get a better look at your entire mouth. These images allow us to determine what type of cleaning you will need. New patients often ask if they can have their teeth cleaned during the first visit. The answer is absolutely, as long as the patient does not need periodontal treatment.
Prior to your X-rays, our team will discuss your dental history and the reason for your visit. After a complete oral exam, we will suggest a personalized treatment plan that's best for you. This is important because seeing the full picture helps you make the best decisions about your treatment. Our goal is to provide you with comprehensive oral care for your unique smile.
Additional Treatment
If you need additional treatment, we will be glad to accommodate you for same day care in most cases. Your doctor and the rest of the Richard Fossum DDS look forward to making over your smile!

When you first arrive, you will fill out your new patient paperwork. This helps our team get to know you better. If you haven’t completed the online new patient paperwork prior to your appointment time, it’s a good idea to arrive around fifteen minutes early so that you can complete these forms.
